
Bram Asscher is a lawyer and advisor of the partnership of Palthe Oberman from medio August 2009. In the current phase of his career he focuses on his work as arbitrator, mediator and advisor. Bram has several board positions. Before joining Palthe Oberman he worked with Houthoff Buruma where he was a member of the Board and managing partners for several years. Bram specialises in individual and collective dismissals. Amongst other he was the legal advisor of the European patent agency, Hoogovens, NOS and he was the legal advisor of the Council of Employees of KLM. In his secondary specialisation Bram focuses on healthcare law. He advises the Orde van Medisch Specialisten (OMS), the Landelijke Specialistenvereniging and the Koninklijke Nederlandse Maatschappij ter bevordering der Pharmacie (KNMP) regularly. He has a permanent appointment as arbitrator of NAI, OMS and KNMP. Bram has several additional functions like chairman of the ‘Commissie van Toezicht van de Nederlandse Organisatie van Bureaus voor Outplacement en Loopbaanbegeleiding’, chairman of the ‘Raad van Commissarissen van de Academie voor Medisch Specialisten’ and chairman of several arbitration boards. Bram has published several employment law articles and has been a head lecturer of employment law at the Grotius-Academie in the past.
