
Gieneke van Wulfften Palthe worked in the field of company law for many years before specialising in employment law. She advises and assists employers at both a strategic and an operational level in e.g. individual and collective dismissals, drafting and negotiating contracts, and employee participation issues. She also assists directors both in and outside conflict situations. Gieneke’s clients include broadcasting and media companies, advertising and communication companies, real estate companies, and financial and non-profit organisations. Gieneke has been a partner at Palthe Oberman Advocaten since its incorporation. She graduated from Leiden University in 1982 and started her career in law at Houthoff Buruma. Gieneke is chairwoman of a Disputes and Mediation Committee in the world of sports and a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association and the European Employment Lawyers Association. Gieneke was the right hand of the Board of Directors of the CWI (Central Organisation for Work and Income) for many years. As a member of the Dismissals Committee, she advised on applications for permission to dismiss staff.
Gieneke Palthe is a guest lecturer at Nyenrode Business University in the framework of that institution’s New Board Program.
